Stunning work, completely invisible
Desert Stone did the kind of paver and hardscape work that wins neighbors’ envy: crisp herringbone driveways, travertine pool decks, the lot. And almost nobody in Phoenix could find them. They sat on page three behind thinner, cheaper competitors, their best photography sat on social media doing nothing for search, and their reviews had gone stale. In an affluent, design-literate market, being invisible to the high-end buyer is the most expensive problem there is.
Depth, images, and local truth
The site had one generic services page, so we built real depth: separate, substantive pages for paver driveways, patios, pool decks, and outdoor living, each carrying genuine installation detail and the ICPI-standard base work that separates a thirty-year install from a five-year one. That depth is what holds a ranking once you win it.
Their photography was the secret weapon, wasted. We turned it into proper image-SEO galleries: descriptive filenames, real alt text, fast loading, structured so Google could read and rank the images, not just admire them. Then city pages across the Valley with actual local substance, caliche excavation, monsoon drainage, heat-aware material choices, so each page earned its place instead of swapping a city name into a template.
Finally, the review engine. A system that asked every happy customer at completion, plus a reply to every review, rebuilt the recency and velocity that the map pack rewards.
What it produced
Organic inquiries up 3.4 times within five months. Map-pack top-three across three Valley cities for paver and hardscape terms. Seventy-two new genuine reviews in four months. And a rebuilt site loading in under two seconds, down from over five, which helped both rankings and the rate at which those new visitors actually picked up the phone.
The work was always good enough to win. It just needed to be findable, and provable, to the people who pay for the best.
